Well, in this day and age many complain that the technology is separating people from each other and nature, that we spend too much time e-mailing and not enough time together. UF stands as a steadfast reminder that people from all walks of life can not only find common ground but cherish their shared ideals.
I love my family and friends but few of them (if any of them) understand my obsession with books, music, and technology. I can't really describe UF means to me, because; how can you place a price on understanding? People that know what it's like to go to work on no sleep because you could not put down that amazing book. Or the value of shared frustration because you tried for 4 hours to get that friggin' program running.
While there are other site out there that have all readers, or techies, or programmers (I'm even members of some of them) they all lack the heart of UF. I can think of none that have such dedicated Moderators and members that stand as guardians at the gate ready to help you on your way, you have only to ask.
So thanks to all the Mods and everyone with UF (especially NoSorry for the IRC, without which I would be like a caffeine junkie on decaf..) for all you do, please know it makes a difference and your efforts are never wasted.
Underground is an entire community of people, friends of all ages, volunteers, and very dedicated staff. It would devastate me and countless others to loose such a wonderfull forum. Underground is a wonderfull learning enviroment and makes it possible for people like me to recieve help, and learn, from others who have the experience underneath their belt and are willing wo lend a helping hand. I am very much missing the Underground Forum and will love to see it back up!
Well guys, all I can say is that UF has been a very important part of my life for a while now. There wasn't a day I wouldn't get in there to talk, contribute and share with people who had the same interests as myself. The atmosphere was great, the mods were great, the people were great, and I'm really missing everything about it right now. I can only hope it will rise from the ashes like a phoenix, even more majestic than before ;p
Ello, im one of the fairly new members of UF, im sad it went on hiatus just when i've grown to love it. How wish i found this forum much earlier. My deepest thanks to all: The Admin (NoSorry, hope we can persuade u to bring back UF) all mods (u know who you are xD), who worked diligently in keeping the forum tidy and organized. To all my co-members/ co-posters. Plz let us unite and help each other to bring back UF to its glory once again.
There are no words to express my appreciation for UF. Although I might not have been as vocal as other members during my time here it doesn’t mean I had any less appreciation for it then anyone else.
The sense of community is what drew me to the place to begin with. No other forum I have been to has the sense of a family like UF does. Everyone, whether it be a member or moderator, has always been ready and willing to help. Its been a place to meet so many people from around the world who share the same love you have for something. The knowledge that everyone there shares is outstanding.
I am thankful for everything that the Admin and Mods have done to make UF what it is. Your efforts are commendable and have/do not go unnoticed.
Underground Forum "is" amazing, and i hope to NEVER see the day where i have 2 say "was." And while all things come to end, UF sure as hell "isn't" one of them!
I have been learning so much on UF. The mods have been willing to take the time to answer the dumb questions of a true newbie without making ME feel dumb...lol. (much appreciated)!!!

UF is a great site in which many found a vast collection of information on various interests. To lose this would be a shame. I had only just stumbled onto this resource and still hadn't realized it's potential after a couple of months membership. Please take a moment and reconsider any thoughts of discontinuing it's service.
It's really sad to see UF go, It is one of the best if not THE BEST forum around. The popularity is obvious from the mass of people in IRC for one lol. I hope someone has a change of heart. =)
I think by now all world knows about UF smack down, but not what really happened, but you know, at this point WE don’t really care.
We just want our place open again, in this life everything has a solution, it may take some time but it has. And if you need help you have a great staff and great members willing to do almost anything to see UF shine and live.
These past days I read people worried for not to have UF anymore, and once they calm down, they are cheering with hope and faith. I think that say a lot of the kind of spirit UF brings out from us.
We are here, since you kindly opened the UF Chat, people is camping day and night waiting, waiting and waiting. And is willing to come everyday and share joy and chat for the time it takes and I know when UF is open they will be there again because they, we, have found another great thing UF give us: FRIENDSHIP.

I love the UF forum, without it I am lost for my ebooks! I thank all the staff for all the hard work they put into it, and hopefully it will be up again.
I absolutely love UF!!! Only down for a bit and already got withdrawals... I'm sure most members would even help with costs for the server and such, I know I would, so if UF needs donations I'm on board.
We make a lot of friends on UF and everyone is glad to help others. It's a one of a kind.

UF down was a cold shower and a torn in my eye when i saw it. You see UF has become a place where people can learn new things a place to teach others, where we could meet exciting new people from all over the world make friends somwhere where we could share our cryes and laughters a place for FRIENDS hanging around together and ultimatley a second home for most of us,because that is how i feel when on UF like home.
And we are here to show our support in rebuilding our home again.
Finding UF down the other day caused a lot of panic for me. Since finding the site a couple of months ago has now turned into a daily ritual in the morning to check the site.
I really hope that it will be back soon. This is one of the best sites I have found and hope things work out that it is back soon.
UF is simply the greatest community there is period! Caring, helpful and generous friends topped with a well organized forum. I contributed a lot to UF and would love to continue doing so and more. I'm relatively new to UF, but in a short time, it has come to be my #1 stop on the internet. I'm very grateful to the staff and admins (all of whom are friendly and helpful) for their effort and for the forum's amazing organization and overall flow. In fact, I've yet to come across another that is as well put together as UF and where the effort of the 'behind-the-scenes' folks is (clearly) its hallmark. Believe me, it does not go unnoticed. I feel very fortunate to have found UF as it truly is a treasure.
I'd be glad to help, donate, provide, etc, in order to see it continue in the online world for years to come, as I'm sure that many of its members would as well.

I haven't been on UF long, but UF is my favorite place to lurk. I'm not one to usually post or get involved, but UF is a very nice, warm, helpful atmosphere to find the things I love and would like to love.
I especially love how the mods interact. With them, you know it's not just some title under their name. It's so cool to see such a fully involved community. I hope UF comes back soon--it's definitely missed.
I was very sad to see UF was not accessible anymore and could be closed. It is a routine for me to come at UF regulary since 2008. I have found not only software or ressources but a very nice community with generous help toward his member.UF is the best forum i have found in his kind.I just hope it will come alive again soon.
What are we supposed to say much other than that I found it very sad alls I saw the uf is currently down. I have a lot of the members learned there even if I can not english. What I uf means you can not describe it words. I believe it is every members-Sun. And I realized very glad alls I've found this forum since the German scene rce is dead. Since it is most like me is not the last forum in the web disappear forever.

everyone who knows underground forum will agree that it is one of the best forum personally i don t find any reason why underground forum should be shut down c est l un des sources essentiels pour telecharger les ebooks and software and it is a nice place to make friends thanks to the irc the chat room i have no doubt that people from all the world log in to the forum either is for entertainment or downloading it s still an essential website and alot of people won t accept the fact of closing and i am one of them so please be kind enough to take the viewers opinions needs and will in consideration and allow them to enjoy our underground forum once more
i got my account banned last week for some reason. but the addiction to this forum, made me visit this site again today. i was not a major contributor, i may not be a major voice but WE WANT UF BACK. nobody can find such a fine team of admin/mods who were seriously concerned about the site. and i cannot even start about the helping nature of them. they were so good. i sincerely hope that u guys come back.

This forum when i discovered it was a great go to place for me daily.... when you are basically a shy person and books are your main outlet it is great to have somewhere to go... and even if I was not able to contribute as much as i would have liked too ... I did when i could and I really appreciated the creator of the site for the foresight to create such and the moderators etc for their valued input.... I am sad. nosorry has been pushed to his limit. We are in jeopardy of losing everything. It isn't about our needs now. Instead, we must support nosorry in this time of need.
I think I can speak for all when I say that we are supporting him and UF. We are sad, too, we share the concern of all Mods.
Otherwise that chat wouldn't be full of people waiting and telling their thoughts here. We have hope all will have a good ending and if won't, it was a great experience to be part of a community like Underground.
I'm member of others places and all are always compared with UF because, and is not a saying, is really one of the best places in the net.
I think people have proved that UF is not only a place to get things, I don't like to use the term family but is a strong and solid group of people willing to contribute and share with the rest of the world.
We'll wait, is the only thing we can do for now, and we'll do because we have faith that anything that went wrong can be repare.
I found Underground.mn when I was looking for evanovich Series 12. I was using google search and got it. I looked into it, registered myself and presto! I got what I want... but didn't come back till after a week or two If I can remember well. But when I did, the first time I do in the morning is visit it until it becomes a habit and becomes my day to day schedule to browse/download... and when I started to upload and earned two stars, three days from that, it was just that NOTICE... I felt sad about it because Underground.mn is one of the best forum that properly setup. I just hope that it will not end like this... it's beyond words the sadness I feel.... Please, come back... (Sounds like Titanic...the last words...)
I looked forward to going to UF each day. loved the audio books, sharing and listening to author I would not have listen to if not for UF. The other areas are very helpful and I learned much I did not know before.I don't know what problems have occurred but I hope they can be resolved and that UF will be back soon.

I am on UF withdrawal but I would love to get it back, it is a great community with the best moderators. But if all good things come to an end then it must be so.
UF has created a home and a family for me. It has changed my view that the internet is a place of technology and nothing more. Thank you UF for making me see beyond that. I will always be grateful that UF gave me this place of love, connection and everything else.
The amount of overwhelming support from everyone for UF is exceedingly heartwarming. It only reinforces the fact that UF is indeed, a one of a kind treasure.
UF was/IS the place where my whole obsession with books came along. The community is great, the people are very appreciative, and the whole system is very efficient. I actually support more authors more than I ever did before because I read all these books from UF. THANK YOU UF and I hope you get up and running soon! :)

What I uf means you can not describe it words. I believe it is every members-Sun.
And I realized very glad alls I've found this forum since the German scene rce is dead.
Since it is most like me is not the last forum in the web disappear forever.
I've been coming there for awhile now. It truly was the best forum out there. I don't know the circumstances why it's down, but I certainly hope it will be back in the very near future!

ReplyDeleteeveryone who knows underground forum will agree that it is one of the best forum personally i don t find any reason why underground forum should be shut down c est l un des sources essentiels pour telecharger les ebooks and software and it is a nice place to make friends thanks to the irc the chat room i have no doubt that people from all the world log in to the forum either is for entertainment or downloading it s still an essential website and alot of people won t accept the fact of closing and i am one of them so please be kind enough to take the viewers opinions needs and will in consideration and allow them to enjoy our underground forum once more
ReplyDeletei got my account banned last week for some reason. but the addiction to this forum, made me visit this site again today. i was not a major contributor, i may not be a major voice but WE WANT UF BACK. nobody can find such a fine team of admin/mods who were seriously concerned about the site. and i cannot even start about the helping nature of them. they were so good. i sincerely hope that u guys come back.

ReplyDeleteThis forum when i discovered it was a great go to place for me daily.... when you are basically a shy person and books are your main outlet it is great to have somewhere to go... and even if I was not able to contribute as much as i would have liked too ... I did when i could and I really appreciated the creator of the site for the foresight to create such and the moderators etc for their valued input.... I hope all that has happened the last few days and the outpouring of support makes a difference in getting our forum up and running again...WE MISS YOU UNDERGROUND.MN

ReplyDeleteI think I can speak for all when I say that we are supporting him and UF. We are sad, too, we share the concern of all Mods.
Otherwise that chat wouldn't be full of people waiting and telling their thoughts here. We have hope all will have a good ending and if won't, it was a great experience to be part of a community like Underground.
I'm member of others places and all are always compared with UF because, and is not a saying, is really one of the best places in the net.
I think people have proved that UF is not only a place to get things, I don't like to use the term family but is a strong and solid group of people willing to contribute and share with the rest of the world.
We'll wait, is the only thing we can do for now, and we'll do because we have faith that anything that went wrong can be repare.

I found Underground.mn when I was looking for evanovich Series 12. I was using google search and got it. I looked into it, registered myself and presto! I got what I want... but didn't come back till after a week or two If I can remember well. But when I did, the first time I do in the morning is visit it until it becomes a habit and becomes my day to day schedule to browse/download... and when I started to upload and earned two stars, three days from that, it was just that NOTICE... I felt sad about it because Underground.mn is one of the best forum that properly setup. I just hope that it will not end like this... it's beyond words the sadness I feel.... Please, come back... (Sounds like Titanic...the last words...)

ReplyDeleteI looked forward to going to UF each day. loved the audio books, sharing and listening to author I would not have listen to if not for UF. The other areas are very helpful and I learned much I did not know before.I don't know what problems have occurred but I hope they can be resolved and that UF will be back soon.

ReplyDeleteI just recently joined UF, and in no time i was visiting the forum 2/3 times a day.
I used to visit a lot of forums 4 years back, but eventually it got boring.
UF got me hooked again and I was looking forward to being a part of the community.
Please bring it back... Like most of the others,I feel like I belong.
I check back every day hoping it'll reopen but to no avail. =( Hope you can bring it back soon =)!
UF has become part of my family my realfamily at home are being drove crazy because I can't stop taking about it closing down everyday i go on in hopes it is back up running If there is anything i can do to help let me know I love uf hope to see you soon

I am on UF withdrawal but I would love to get it back, it is a great community with the best moderators. But if all good things come to an end then it must be so.

UF was/IS the place where my whole obsession with books came along. The community is great, the people are very appreciative, and the whole system is very efficient. I actually support more authors more than I ever did before because I read all these books from UF. THANK YOU UF and I hope you get up and running soon! :)
